MDE Community operates as a community-based lifestyle and events platform primarily located in Medellín, Colombia but is present in other cities around the world. Our purpose is to connect digital nomads, expats, and globally-minded locals through curated WhatsApp groups, community events, and partnerships.

2. Eligibility

By using our website or participating in our communities, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.

MDE Community provides access to:

  • Social and professional events (organized by MDE Community or third-party partners)
  • Blog content and partner promotions
  • Donation-based contributions via Ko-Fi

Membership in the MDE Community is free of charge. Certain events and activities may require payment of a participation fee, which will be clearly indicated in the event details.

4. Code of Conduct

To maintain a respectful, inclusive environment, all users agree to abide by the following rules:

  • Treat all members with respect and courtesy
  • No spam, self-promotion, or unsolicited advertising, unless given explicit approval
  • No discrimination, hate speech, harassment, or explicit content
  • Respect group moderators and event organizers
  • Do not share private community content or personal data without consent

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently remove users who violate this Code of Conduct or engage in disruptive behavior, without prior warning.

5. Events and Third-Party Partners

Events may be hosted either directly by MDE Community or by independent third-party partners.


While we strive to feature high-quality, safe experiences, MDE Community is not responsible for any injury, loss, damage, or expense that may occur before, during, or after participation in any event or partner activity.

Refunds and Cancellations

If you register or donate toward an event that is canceled, MDE Community will make reasonable efforts to notify you and issue a refund (if applicable). However, all voluntary donations made via Ko-Fi are non-refundable.

6. Donations and Payments

All donations are processed securely via Ko-Fi.
By donating, you acknowledge that:

  • Contributions are voluntary, non-refundable, and non-tax-deductible
  • MDE Community is not responsible for transaction errors or platform outages on Ko-Fi
  • Some partner links or promotions featured on our site may be sponsored or affiliate-based

7. Intellectual Property

All logos, brand materials, and website design elements are the property of MDE Community or its content partners.

By participating in events or communities, you grant MDE Community permission to use photos, testimonials, or feedback you share for marketing, promotional, or editorial purposes, unless you explicitly opt out in writing.

8. Privacy and Data Handling

We value your privacy.

MDE Community may collect personal information such as your name, email address, and WhatsApp number for communication and community management purposes.

We may use third-party tools such as Webflow, Mailchimp, and Google Analytics for website functionality and analytics tracking.

Your information will not be sold to third parties and will only be shared when required for technical operation or legal compliance.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MDE Community and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the website, participation in events, or reliance on partner offerings.

10. Termination

MDE Community reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to any user, community group, or service at its discretion, including cases of misconduct, violation of rules, or misuse of community resources.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Colombia. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the competent courts located in Medellín, Colombia.
